What’s left within our world and on our screens…blocked-out in color, full to the lines, by instantaneous and ubiquitous imagery?

Everything else.

All that can’t be seen.

All that matters most.

That’s why I’ve devoted my career to finding and filling the blanks between and behind the pictures…where truth breathes and feeling pulses and stories yearn for their telling.

From the day I stapled 10 sheets of pencil-smudged loose-leaf together to publish my first “book” at age 6, I’ve continued to hone my skills, as a student of English, as a trained journalist, and through my career as a professional communicator. 

I’ve applied the same precision and thoughtfulness to all of my writing–whether for a complex multimedia annual report that includes textured personality profiles and concise video narration scripts….or for an elegant headline atop a web page or across a display ad.

But why so much care?

Because life itself can be found in the so-called gray space on the page. As you know, life is not black and white but layer upon layer of slate, steel, storm cloud, and ash. That’s where I work, whittling words from the matter. That’s where I live.
